1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ToggleTown ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ToggleTown is a feature flag management platform that allows you to control feature rollouts, run experiments, and manage configurations for your applications. The Service includes the web dashboard, REST API, SDKs, and documentation.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • You may not share your account or API keys with unauthorized parties
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse the API in ways that degrade service for others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent

5. Plans and Billing

  • The Free plan is available at no cost with usage limits as described on our pricing page
  • Paid plans (Pro, Team) are billed monthly or annually via our payment processor, Polar
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time through the billing portal
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

6. Your Data

  • You retain ownership of all data you create within the Service (projects, flags, configurations)
  • We do not access your data except as necessary to provide and improve the Service
  • You may export your data at any time
  • Upon account deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days
  • Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy

7. API and SDK Usage

  • API keys are provided per environment and must be kept confidential
  • You are responsible for securing API keys in your applications
  • We provide SDKs as-is for JavaScript, Node.js, React, Python, and Go
  • SDK evaluation of feature flags happens locally — user context data is not transmitted to our servers
  • API rate limits apply as documented. Exceeding limits may result in temporary throttling

8. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The SDKs are designed to work with cached data if our API is temporarily unavailable — your application will continue to function using the last known flag values. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToggleTown shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims under these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the dashboard or contacting us
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability) will survive

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
